The details
Every part has one job: to give you light where you work – without you having to hold the lamp.
One long, even light surface that lights up the whole engine bay without harsh shadows.
One press switches it on, the next changes mode. Four LEDs show how much battery is left.
Two strong magnets in each end. Twist the ends so the light stands, hangs or sticks at just the right angle.
Two hooks on the back fold out when you want to hang the light – and fold away when you don’t need them.
Works straight out of the box. Charge it and go.
Why people choose it
No torch between your teeth and no phone sliding down into the engine bay.
Put it on the bonnet, the bodywork, the tool trolley or a steel beam – the magnets in both ends hold it firmly in place.
Fold out the hooks and hang the light under a shelf, from the edge of the bonnet or from a branch at the campsite.
Twist the ends and aim the beam straight at what you’re working on – without moving the light.
2000 mAh battery charged via USB-C. The battery indicator tells you when it’s time to recharge.
Dark engine bay, no hands to spareSound familiar?
The engine bay, under the sink, behind the fuse box. Torch between your teeth, phone balanced on the edge – and down it slides.
Ordinary work lights have a cable that snags and a stand that tips over. And you still need a third hand to keep the light pointing the right way.
The light should simply stay put on its own.
Fix it and switch onThe work light
The magnets in the ends fix the light to any steel surface, and the hooks let you hang it where the magnets can’t reach. Twist the ends and the beam points exactly where you’re working.
Rechargeable via USB-C, so it’s as easy to take to the car as to the boat or the caravan.
Light where you need it.
Compare
Both give you light. Only one stays exactly where you put it – and goes wherever the plug socket can’t reach.

How it works

Everyday use
The car, the garage, the boat or the fuse box – the light stays right where you need it.

The magnets keep it in place under the bonnet even when I’m really putting my back into it. No wobble, nothing falling off.
Paul, Leicester
Got a flat one evening on the way home. Stuck the light on the wing and changed the wheel with both hands.
Emily, Exeter
The power went and I stuck the light on the consumer unit. Could see every switch straight away.

Each end has two strong magnets that hold the light firmly on the bonnet, the bodywork, the tool trolley and other steel surfaces – even upside down. Magnets don’t stick to aluminium, plastic or carbon fibre; there you simply hang the light from the hooks or stand it up.
Wipe the surface before you attach the light so no grit gets caught in between, and lift it straight off rather than dragging it across the paint. That way your paintwork stays protected.
It depends on the mode: on low the 2000 mAh battery lasts longest, while high is there for when you need maximum light. The four-LED battery indicator always shows how much charge is left.
With the included USB-C cable in a standard USB charger, a computer or your car’s USB socket. Charge it fully before first use.
Fold out the two hooks on the back and hang the light under a shelf, from the edge of the bonnet or from a branch. When you’re not using them, they fold away again.
Two: high and low. One press of the power button switches the light on, the next changes mode and one more switches it off.
Yes, it isn’t tied to any particular model. On most cars the bonnet is steel and the magnets stick straight on. If your car has an aluminium bonnet, simply hang the light from the hooks or stand it on a flat surface.
The housing is impact-resistant and made for garages and workshops. Like all electronics, it’s happiest kept out of standing water and downpours.
A torch gives a narrow beam and needs a hand to hold it. The work light gives a long, even light surface and stays put on its own – so both your hands are free for the job.
We ship within 48 hours and you’ll get a tracking number by email. Shipping is free on the work light.

Hang it under the shelf above the bench. Perfect light downwards and it’s out of the way when I don’t need it.
The magnets keep it in place under the bonnet even when I’m really putting my back into it. No wobble, nothing falling off.
You can see straight away how much is left. No surprises halfway through a job.
Lights up the whole area instead of a little dot like a torch. Makes a big difference when you’re hunting for a fault.
The USB-C cable was in the box. Charged it in the evening and it was ready by morning.
Thought they’d be weak, but it holds firm even upside down under the bonnet.
The hooks felt stiff the first few times but have loosened up. Otherwise spot on.
Sits on the workbench and lights the whole surface evenly. No more shadows when I’m fiddling with small parts.
He tinkers with his old MG every weekend. Now the light sits on the bonnet instead of him shouting for me to hold the torch.
One in the garage, one in the car and one on the boat. Great Christmas price when you take three.
Love that it’s USB-C. Same charger as my phone, so it’s always ready.
He’s 74 and still works on his tractor. Easy for him to handle and no cables to trip over.
Got a flat one evening on the way home. Stuck the light on the wing and changed the wheel with both hands.
Best bit is the twisting ends. It stands steady on the bench and I angle the light exactly where I want it.
We use it once we’ve pitched up for the evening. Sticks to the steel frame and gives clear light without dazzling.
Bought three for the business. The lads no longer fight over the only work light.
Feels sturdy in the hand and the green colour means you spot it straight away in the toolbox.
Replaced the trap and hung the light from the pipe. Finally I could see what I was doing.
One in the engine bay and one in the cockpit. The hooks are perfect on board.
Both tinker with motorbikes. They were thrilled and use them all the time.
Hang it in the tent when we’re out fishing. Easy to bring along and charges in the car on the way.
I’ve binned my old corded light. This one goes everywhere with me.
Took three and now have one in each place. Best price per light.
The power went and I stuck the light on the consumer unit. Could see every switch straight away.
One hangs in the stables and one in the horsebox. The hooks hold firm.
I’ve bought pricier lights that were worse. I use this one every week.
Stuck to the steel bench all weekend while we swapped the carburettor. Light the whole time.
One lives at our holiday cottage for power cuts. And one in the car, just in case.
Stuck it to the underside while I replaced the exhaust. Good light without lying there holding anything.
My father-in-law, my brother and me. Anyone with a car will be chuffed with one of these.
One button, two modes. Even I, who’m not a car person, got it straight away.
Hung it from a joist in the loft. So much better than a head torch.
The ends keep it still on the bench. Easy to handle even with work gloves on.
I used to hold my phone in my teeth. This stays put and gives far better light.
We have two cars and now a light in each. Great to have on dark winter evenings.
Used daily in my little garage. Holds its charge well.
Sits on the edge of the wheel arch while I do the brakes. Light right by the wheel nuts.
He always helps us with the car. Now he has his own light and was so pleased.
Dropped it off the bonnet onto the concrete floor. Not a scratch and it shines as usual.
Three lights for my dad, me and my son who’s just passed his driving test. Great price for three.
Sturdy, bright and clever with the magnets. Better than the cheap ones I’ve had before.
Took me a moment to realise you press again to change mode. After that, dead easy. Really bright light.
Really good light. In a big engine bay I wanted one at each end, so I’ve ordered another.
Magnets won’t stick there, so I hang the light from the hooks instead. It says so clearly in the description and works a treat.
High lights up everything. I mostly use low when working up close – that’s plenty.
Handy size, but for the whole engine bay on my van I wanted two. With two lights it’s perfect.
A middle setting would be nice, but high and low cover almost everything. Good quality.
On frosty days I charge it inside in the warm, that’s when it lasts best. Otherwise it works brilliantly.
The courier left my parcel at the wrong collection point, so I had to go and fetch it. The light itself is brilliant.
The outer box was battered in transit and I was worried, but the light works perfectly.
