No electrician needed – it mounts on the wallThe solar panel charges the battery in daylight, so the light needs no mains power and no cables.

Light when you get home – no mains, no cables, no electrician. The light fixes to your outside wall and switches itself on when someone moves in front of it.

The solar panel, under tempered glass, charges the built-in 1,200 mAh lithium battery in daylight. The three heads, with 210 LEDs in total, deliver up to 2,500 lumens and adjust independently, so you can point the light at the door, the steps and the driveway from just one light.

Choose from three lighting modes: on all night, smart brightness, or bright light whenever the sensor picks up movement.

How it works

A light that looks after itself

The sun charges it, the sensor switches it on, and you decide where the light goes. That's all there is to it.

Solar panel

The panel on top of the light charges the built-in 1,200 mAh battery while it's light outside.

When someone moves in front of the light, it comes on. No switch, no app, nothing to remember.

When it gets dark

The light comes on before you need it

You get home on a November evening. It's already dark, the shopping bags are heavy and you can't see the keyhole. The steps are guesswork and the driveway is a black hole.

With a solar light on the wall, it switches on as you approach – before you've even found your keys. The keyhole, the steps and the driveway are clear straight away.

You shouldn't need your phone torch to get into your own house.

Why Orvo

A light that charges itself

The solar panel charges the built-in 1,200 mAh battery in daylight. When dusk falls, the light has its own power – without you running a single cable.

  • No electrician and no cables to run
  • Charged by the sun – no socket, no lead
  • Three heads you can point wherever you want light

Put it up once – then it looks after itself.

Comparison

Why an ordinary outdoor light isn't enough

An ordinary outdoor light needs mains power run to the wall. The solar light only needs daylight.

It's that simple

Put it up in three steps

No electrician and no cables – just a wall that gets daylight.

  1. Choose a spot with daylight

The solar panel needs daylight to charge. Pick a wall by the door, garage or driveway where the panel gets light during the day.

  2. Fix it to the wall

Screw the light to the wall. It isn't connected to the mains, so you don't need an electrician. Screws and wall plugs are included (2 of each).

  3. Angle the heads where you want light

Point each of the three heads on its own – towards the door, the steps or the driveway. The light takes care of the rest.

Arrived well packed with everything needed to fit it – screws, wall plugs and even a drilling template. Had it up over the front door the same evening.

Went for the 3-pack – one for the garage, one for the shed and one by the patio door. Everything was in the box, just had to dig the drill out.

Took about fifteen minutes to fit above the garage door. Now the whole drive lights up when we pull in at night. No cables to run, which was the whole point.

No more fumbling for the keyhole with my phone torch in November. It comes on the moment I get to the top step.

Up on the log store where there’s never been power. Perfect for fetching wood on a dark January evening.

Put one on the cabin and one along the path down to the hot tub. No wiring, and it’s coped fine all autumn.

Sophie L. Norwich · 1 lamp

Best bit is that the heads turn separately. One on the door, one on the steps, one on the bins. One lamp doing the job of three.

Bought it for my mum, who lives on her own. She says she feels much safer taking the bins out after dark now.

Sensor is quick – it’s already on by the time I come round the side of the house. Got two at the back now.

My second order. Was so pleased with the first one on the garage that I got three more for the rest of the house.

Fun side effect: we now know who crosses the garden at night. One fox and two hedgehogs so far.

It’s in the carport and worth its weight in gold when you’re getting shopping and kids inside on a dark Tuesday in December.

Been up since August and survived autumn storms and a bit of snow. Still working just as well.

An electrician quoted me hundreds to run power to the garage. This sorted it for a fraction of that. Wish I’d bought them sooner.

On the log store. Does exactly what it should – comes on when you get there and switches itself off after a while.

Replaced an old wired light that had packed in. This one is much brighter and I didn’t need to call an electrician.

Emailed customer service about wall plugs for brick and got a reply the same day. It’s rock solid on the garage now.

Good lamp, does what it says. Would recommend!

Paul D. Aberdeen · 1 lamp

Good, bright light. In the depths of winter with hardly any sun it doesn’t stay on as long as in the autumn, but I moved the panel to the south wall and it’s much better. Four stars for that.

Louise G. Exeter · 1 lamp
★★★★☆

Really powerful light, almost too much – it was shining straight into next door’s kitchen window at first. Angled the heads down and now everyone’s happy.

Nicola J. Chester · 1 lamp

The lamp itself is great. The instructions could be clearer – I had to work out how the panel fixed on myself. Otherwise spot on.

Keith P. Hull · 1 lamp
★★★★☆

Looks a bit plasticky up close, but you can’t tell from the ground and the light is really good. Great value.

Neil S. Carlisle · 1 lamp

Needed a couple of sunny days before the battery was fully charged at first. Been faultless since.

Gary H. Stoke-on-Trent · 1 lamp

Works well, but the wall by our front door is in shade most of the day, so it doesn’t last as long as it would with the panel in the sun. Think about where it goes before you drill.

Questions & answers

Common questions about the solar light

Can't find the answer? Email support@eoka.se and we'll help you out.

The motion sensor sits beneath the centre head and detects when someone moves in front of the light. All three heads then switch on automatically.

The PIR sensor detects movement across up to 180° and up to about 9 metres (30 ft) away.

The solar panel on top of the light charges the built-in 1,200 mAh battery in daylight. The light needs no mains power, no socket and no cable.

Yes, the panel charges whenever there's daylight, but less so when the days are short and the sky is grey. Put the light up where the panel gets as much daylight as possible.

Choose a wall that gets daylight, screw the light in place and angle the heads where you want light. It isn't connected to the mains, so no electrician is needed.

Screws and wall plugs are included (2 of each).

Yes. The light is made from durable ABS plastic and is rated IP65, so it copes with rain, sleet and snow. The mode button on the back has its own protective cover.

There are three light modes: on all night, smart brightness and bright light on motion. How long it stays lit depends on the mode, how much the sun has charged the battery and how often the sensor switches it on.

It's not only dark by the front door. With two lights you can light up both the front and the back, with three the whole house – the entrance, the garage and the outbuilding. The more you buy, the lower the price per light.

Free delivery over £34.99, and your light ships within 48 hours.

You have a 14-day right to cancel from the day you receive your order. Email support@eoka.se before sending it back – the light must be unused and in its original packaging.
