Why people choose it
A good head torch should shine wide, stay put and switch on the moment you need it. This one does all three.
The light band covers your whole field of view, not just a spot straight ahead. No dark corners on the path or in the shed.
Turn on the sensor and wave in front of the torch to switch it on and off – perfect in gloves or with dirty hands.
Fully charged in about an hour and a half. Up to 8 hours on the lowest setting.
Light, soft band that stays put when you run, cycle or lean under the bonnet.
Dark by four o'clockSound familiar?
The evening dog walk in November, the fuse box playing up. Phone in your mouth or torch under your chin – and the light never lands where you're looking.
Ordinary head torches throw a narrow spot straight ahead. Everything else stays black.
You shouldn't have to choose between seeing and using your hands.
Wave, and it lights upThe head torch
A wide light band lights up everything in front of you and to the sides, while a spotlight reaches far ahead. Wave your hand and the torch switches on or off.
Charges via USB-C and weighs around 100 grams.
Hands free – and you see everything around you.

Press the power button to cycle through the 5 light modes.
Press the sensor button. Then just wave in front of the torch to switch it on or off.

Everyday life
The evening hike, the dog walk, the car that won't start or the tent that has to go up at dusk – the torch comes along.

The light goes from one corner of your eye to the other. No more tunnel vision on my evening runs.
Andrew, Durham
One in the hall, one in the car and one at the caravan. We never hunt for a torch now.
Claire, Nottingham
Under the sink, behind the washing machine, in the garage. My most used tool.

USB-C is brilliant. A little red light shows while it charges. Bought two so we have one each.
The band adjusts in seconds – the same torch fits me, my husband and our nine-year-old. Stays put over a beanie.
Lights up the path and the verge beside it. The spotlight reaches a long way.
Two buttons – even I can manage. Shines really well.
Shines wider than any I've tried.
Changed a bulb on the Ford at dusk. The whole engine bay lit up, not just a dot – and both hands free.
So light I forget it's there. Goes in my walking jacket and comes out when the light fades on the hill.
Three nights wild camping in the Lakes. Topped it up from the power bank each evening and had a full torch every morning.
I walk the dog in the dark every morning. A wave of my glove and I see the whole path instead of a tiny spot.
The light goes from one corner of your eye to the other. No more tunnel vision on my evening runs.
Power went out. Switched it on with a wave and had both hands for the fuse box.
I cycle to work in the dark. It doesn't bounce and I barely notice it.
Two for reading in the tent. The low setting is perfect for reading.
Minus eight on an early fishing trip. The charge lasted the whole evening on low.
One in the hall, one in the car and one at the caravan. We never hunt for a torch now.
Loft spaces and crawl spaces every week. Wide light and free hands.
I can see both the lane and the edge of the road when it's pitch black.
Shines wider and charges faster than torches at three times the price.
No need to take my glove off – one wave does it.
Stays put even on intervals. No bouncing light.
Bought one for my dad, who potters in the garage. Now he doesn't ring asking where the torch is.
I charge it at work and have light all evening at the stables.
Everyone was impressed by how wide it shines.
No power at the outbuilding. The torch hangs in the hall and charges in the car.
I moor up at dusk with it on. Handles splashes no problem.
I find the path back to the car even when it gets dark quickly.
Don't even notice it. Comes on every fishing trip.
Dog walks in the pouring rain several times. Shines as usual.
Mucking out after work with free hands and the whole stable lit.
Everyone got one after seeing mine. Wide beam in the woods.
The low setting doesn't wake my partner. Perfect.
Two as gifts. Both used every evening.
Pitched the tent in the dark on an island. The whole camp lit up.
Under the sink, behind the washing machine, in the garage. My most used tool.
The kids have one each for school and see the road in the morning dark.
Comfortable for hours. Clear light without dazzling.
I see the whole log store straight away when I fetch wood.
The lights went off on the track – got down safely anyway.
With the torch I could see the whole garden at once.
So much better than the corded work light.
Three torches, nobody had to borrow anyone else's.
Simple, light and bright. Already told the neighbours.
The sensor felt odd at first, but I've got it now. Loads of light for the money.
Had to adjust it a few times. Now it sits comfortably and shines brilliantly.
Bright and light. The cable could be longer, but my own one works.
Took a while to learn the modes. Now very happy.
Shines nicely and charges quickly. A storage pouch would be nice next time.
The buckle is fiddly with cold fingers, but it stays put once set.
The parcel ended up with the wrong neighbour. Nothing wrong with the torch – it shines really well.
The courier never left a card, so I collected it late. Not the shop's fault – the torches are excellent.
